Designing a governance model for Iran's public hospitals
Hospital governance, notably ,public hospital governance (PHG) is a distinct area of research that few researches have addressed this issue so far. The purpose of this study was to investigate and design a sound model for public hospital's governance in Iran. We used a mixed method covering both direct observation and semi-structured interviews. The interviewees were thirty Iranian health experts who were selected by a snowball sampling approach. The finding of the study came up with introducing several theoretical dimensions and sub- dimensions for the concept of public hospital governance, thus, proposing a sound model for (PHG) in Iran. The model that emerged from this research, may be used to meet the challenges Iran's policy-makers and administrators are confronting in the health and hospital administration of the country. Furthermore, by presenting a range of sub-dimensions, it will advance the theoretical and conceptual framework for public hospital governance.

Organizational slack refers to the excess capacity of organizational financial as well as non - financial resources. The present study, aims to identify new types of organizational slack. using the Glaserian methodology of grounded theory, 16 in-dept interviews were conducted with managers of several private industries in the province of Khorasan Razavi. The findings of this study show that these managers mainly provide their employees with 5 types of organizational slack which are beyond limited financial slack resources. These include: "slack relationship with employees"; "employees slack training"; "slack opportunities to fulfill employees capabilities"; "slack attention to individual employees' concerns and their families" and "providing financial and well being slack facilities to employees". This study illimunates new perspectives on organizational slack and will expand our knowledge about organizational resources literature and will improve understandings of the hidden perspectives of the concept. These findings can have significant implications for policy makers and set their actions regarding organizational goals.

Customer knowledge is an asset that has attracted many attention. It has been determined as important information source for marketing. To gain the benefits of customer knowledge, many companies have employed customer knowledge management (CKM) approach. The present research aimed to develop a customer knowledge management maturity model which may help companies to know about their potential customer knowledge management capabilities and shortcomings. To achieve this goal, meta-analysis and Delphi approaches were used to develop the model. The developed maturity model has three dimensions (organization, tool and process) and five maturity levels (lack of awareness, defined, managed, enhanced and optimized). Data collected brom banks indicate that Iranian banks' CKM maturity level is below the average. Althogh, the customer knowledge plays an active role in business, most of participated banks in this study have paid little attention to it.

Outsourcing in the auto industry is currently a necessity and yet a challenging issue for which a comprehensive framework sounds imperative, in order to facilitate managerial decisions. By addressing four main related questions of “What”, “Who”, “To whom”, and “How”, from perspective of automakers, this research aims at providing a comprehensive framework comprising of key influential factors and their interactions. Given the fact that design phase has a different nature from production phase, a separate outsourcing model is provided for each of the mentioned phases; both validated through a quantitative survey research method. Data collection was through questionnaires distributed amongst managers and senior business analysts of the two main Iranian automakers; Iran Khodro and Saipa. Validation of the models was accomplished by structural equation modeling. Among other findings, as one of the key results, it was observed that modularity is the sole differentiating factor of the two phases of design and production. Furthermore, it was unexpectedly observed that modularity has no significant impact on the level of partnership between automaker and supplier. This, however, can be explained by considering dissimilar supply chain structures of the current state of the industry and the norm. This observation can be viewed, to some extent, as one of the potential drivers of inefficiencies in the Iranian auto industry, which can be subject of future researches.

This research aimed to investigate the determinants of technology sourcing modes (TSMs). Based on a conceptual framework, three group of modes were determined; namely, internal development, cooperation and acquisition. The literature review explored factors affecting different modes of technology sourcing while categorizing them into three categories; namely, Technology-related, Firm-specific and environmental factors. Amongst numerous factors supposed to influence TSMs, three of the most referred factors in technology- related factors were selected. A list consisting ofThirteen hypotheses were proposed, argued and tested in Iranian high-tech firms. The study was confined to four technology intensive industry including; telecommunications and microelectronics, Information technologies, nanotechnologies and biotechnologies. The results of hypothesis testing and regression model determine factors affecting of TSMs. Our findings showed negative effect of stage of technology life cycle and degree of technical uncertainty, on propensity to internal development. Moreover, our study revealed the positive effect of degree of technical uncertainty and negative effect of degree of commercial uncertainty on propensity to cooperate. Our results show that propensity to acquire is positively affected by the stage of technology life cycle and degree of technical uncertainty.

The concept of career plateau has been discussed in the career management literature for some time. Career plateauing occurs when employees reach a position in the organization from which they are unlikely to be further promoted or given positions of increased responsibility. The purpose of this study is to examine the perceived career plateau of academic librarians and its impact on affective commitment and job involvement. The data analyzed in this study was collected from 537 questionnaires which were filled either manually or electronically by librarians. The results show that the rate of job Plateau (structural Plateau and content Plateau), is more than average among librarian, In spite of gender which does not make a significant difference in the perception of job plateau among librarian, tenure and longer working hours lead to greater perceived career plateau. Moreover, regression analyses results indicate that the impact of career plateau on affective commitment and job involvement is significant, meaning that the librarians perceiving more career plateau have less job involvement and affective commitment. Interestingly, interstice motivation plays a moderator role between the job Plateau and both mentioned dependent variables.
