The purpose of this paper is to study the consequences of organizational reputation in the public sector of Iran. In the past, this subject has been an enquiry to be studied in business sector, but, recently the subject has attracted the attention of public sector researchers. In this paper, we examine the impact of organizational reputation on organizational citizenship behavior considering mediating role of organizational identity. In this study, Public sector organizational reputation is measured by Luoma-aho(2008) model within five dimensions: authority, esteem, trust, efficiency and service. OCB is measured by Organ(1988)model and organizational identification by Cheney’s model. The population is the staff of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Questionnaire was the main instrument for gathering data. We used the structural equation modeling for analysis of data. The results show that organizational reputation has significant impact on OCB and organizational identification, but the impact of mediating role of organizational identification was not confirmed.
