Abstract
Online donation as a new method for raising funds in various fields has grown and developed increasingly in today's world. Charitable organizations, due to their popular nature and lack of government funding to achieve their goals and missions, always face serious challenges in financing. Today, with the development of information technology tools, many charitable organizations and non-governmental organizations use online fundraising methods instead of traditional methods. The present study is an applied research in terms of its purpose and is considered a cross-sectional survey research in terms of data collection method. In this study, two methods were used: systematic literature review and Thematic analysis. To collect data, articles related to crowdfunding and online donation intention were searched using the Clarivate Analytics tool. 1,226 articles were extracted. After filtering and screening, 56 articles were identified as eligible for inclusion. The guidelines and recommendations of the Prisma protocol were used to minimize errors and bias. Then, using the content analysis method, factors and themes related to the intention to donate online to fund charitable organizations were identified, coded, and categorized into two groups including main categories and subcategories. The research findings showed that performance expectations, effort expectations, social influence, facilitation, trust, individual attitudes, individual motivations, subjective norms, perceived risk, perceived behavioral control, experience expectations, thical norms, and funders' commitments have an impact on individuals' intention to donate online
