A dynamic model for evaluating innovation in organization : A study in automobile industry

Abstract

Due to rapid changes of organization environment, competitiveness and ultimate survival of an organization depend on its capability of creating innovation. Innovation can leads to commercial success and market leadership. It also creates value for stakeholders and ultimately causes economic growth and improves life standards. Due to the importance of innovation in organization and its role in survival of an organization in current competitive and dynamic environment, this paper reviews the past researches related to innovation while its main objective is creating a new model to improve the innovation evaluation system in automobile industry. It identifies two main dimensions of innovation which are technological and management innovation. Then key indicators of these two types of innovation and their relationships are extracted. Then comments of technology managers and university professors were collected by questionnaires and interviews. At last, with the approval of the experts, it presents a dynamic model of evaluating innovation in order to help the managers to improve the innovation level in their organization.
