Collaborative inter-organizational relationship model to improve supply chain performance in Iranian machine-woven carpet industry
Abstract
Collaborative inter-organizational relationship is a phenomenon that has attracted the attention of many industries in recent decades. In this research, collaborative inter-organizational relationship model is discussed to improve supply chain performance based on the theories of social exchange and transaction cost. The research sample consists of 150 experts and professional staff working in production companies in supply chain of machine-woven carpets in Iran. Research variables are selected based on previous literature and finalized using combined research methods and exploratory factor analysis. Data is analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis model, and structural equation modeling. All hypotheses were supported except two. This research confirms the applicability of collaborative inter-organizational relationship model to supply chain in Iran. Results also suggest that using collaborative inter-organizational relationship model improves supply chain performance in Iranian machine-woven carpet industry.
