Abstract
Introduction: In the dynamic landscape of contemporary entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data have emerged as transformative forces, redefining traditional business paradigms and creating unprecedented opportunities for success. The impact of these technologies on entrepreneurial activities is reflected in the explosive growth of research interest in recent years, leading to a dispersion and fragmentation of existing studies, which complicates the generation of a comprehensive and systematic perspective. This paper provides a comprehensive literature review by examining existing research on the application of AI and Big Data-based technologies in entrepreneurship.

Methodology: This study employs a meta-synthesis approach. Based on the definition by researchers such as Sandelowski and Barroso in 2007, the meta-synthesis method comprises seven stages. The study population in the meta-synthesis section includes all articles published in reputable domestic and international scientific databases, based on keywords related to Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and entrepreneurship. A time frame of 2011 to 2025 was selected for keyword searches. Following the screening of articles, a total of 77 articles (27 Persian and 50 foreign) were selected and thoroughly reviewed. Through the coding method, initial codes, concepts, and categories were formed. To assess the reliability of the findings, the Kappa coefficient (0.80) was used, indicating acceptable reliability. Furthermore, the research quality control was previously conducted using the CASP method, and articles lacking the necessary quality were excluded and did not enter the coding and thematic analysis cycle.

Findings: The findings indicate that AI and Big Data influence all stages of the entrepreneurial process. Furthermore, based on the findings, the "AI and Big Data-Enabled Entrepreneurship" model was developed, comprising four main categories: 1- Antecedents of AI and Big Data application in entrepreneurship, 2- Challenges and limitations, 3- Dimensions of AI and Big Data, and 4- Consequences of AI and Big Data application in entrepreneurship. Regarding consequences, the findings suggest that AI and Big Data technologies impact all stages of the entrepreneurial process, including: 1- Opportunity recognition, 2- Opportunity evaluation, and 3- Opportunity exploitation. Additionally, they are effective in entrepreneurship education and research, as well as in sustainable entrepreneurship.

Conclusion/Contributions: Based on the research team's analysis, this is the first study to systematically synthesize the existing literature on entrepreneurship, AI, and Big Data. Specifically, our systematic literature review reveals four distinct clusters. This framework can identify specific areas that will attract the attention of researchers and entrepreneurs (and even intrapreneurs within established organizations) in the future to leverage the potential of AI and Big Data.In conclusion, we believe that delegating all automated processes to artificial intelligence—processes that can be performed more effectively, accurately, and rapidly than by humans—enables entrepreneurs to better express their creative, empathetic, and insightful potential in ways that no algorithm can replicate. From this perspective, artificial intelligence should not be regarded as a dangerous adversary, but rather as an enabler for entrepreneurs.
